when the cable is a DVI -> HDMI adapter cable, which makes a high quality impression.
The output quality of the images is excellent (like going from HDMI to HDMI).
I use it to connect a nettop with a TV.
It was with important that I can also transmit sound.
****! ****
It is often expressed on the Internet, you can not transmit sound through DVI.
However, this is WRONG!
It must only be given the technical requirements, that is, the video card must be linked to the soundcard.
This is the desktop PC usually a small, short cable, which is plugged on both cards, and sound and Graphic-on-board is often the case anyway (Laptop, Netbook Nettop etc.).
Then there has to System Settings -> Sounds and Audio Devices to switch the output device (at least most)
Please googling concrete way of setting, is 7/8 referred in Win XP / different.
For me the sound transmission works beautifully!
Therefore: unreservedly recommendable.
