Predecessor was practical

This is my second slicer from Ritter. The first 27 years has done a perfect job, until finally the gear is broken due to fatigue. Visually see the new one better, more practical, however, was the predecessor. The carriage moves somewhat slower, but perhaps he has to grind also only. The power switch I find not so practical because it can be pushed only with some effort. The operation by pressing a button, I found convenient. Why only three stars.
I would recommend the device to all those who have little work surface in the kitchen or not want to stand around an additional part, because you can disappear the slicer in a flash in a drawer with little effort.
