+ This flash is inexpensive, yet powerful and prompts the operator not having partially unnecessary information (no LCD). ;-)))
+ It is designed mainly for the automatic mode and it works quite well. The operation is realized by five backlit buttons and if you do not leave the automatic TTL operation, then you need only the on / off button to operate.
+ The motorized reflector control works with my D5100 + AF-S DX 18-105 outstanding. It was not until 24 mm of course, among them need to manually unfold the wide-angle lens.
+ The illumination and the light color is very good, as far as I can tell. No comparison with the built-in flash.
- What is, however, I noticed that this flash in the operation of my Nikon D5100 nit not always reliable triggers. When I photograph with this flash, then approximately every seventh photo is underexposed in the foreground. That probably means the power has been "agreed" with the flash that the picture is taken with flash and the flash does not fire for any reason. I have read in a few reviews that there is any "wake-up" give problem. I can not connect 100% me. I have not yet figured out if ever the first photo is underexposed after a long break, or passes the truly random. But it may very well be that something truth to it.
- Then I also noticed that with flash and about one in seven photo is underexposed in the shooting. You press the shutter button, the camera will take 7-8 photos with flash, then a picture without the flash fires and then again a few pictures with the flash. As batteries Sanyo Eneloop are there. If this effect is not caused by the batteries, then that would argue against this "wake-up" theory, because of the lightning swallowed in the middle of operation. And the frequency fits approximately to that in the individual recordings.
