Excellent headphones - which requires a certain business phase

After I am currently in continuous testing of headphones and streaming devices, I would like to express myself in comparison to my previously very critical and sometimes negative reviews for a change only positive about the product: Philips Fidelio X1 / 00th

I have received the headphones 4 days ago and was already very impressed when unpacking from the feel of the headphones, the cable and the functional and appropriate packaging. In addition, Philips has donated an adapter from 6.3 mm to 3.5 mm next to a cable clip. That the headphones also looks great, is another plus point.

### Comfort ###

The Fidelio X1 / 00 has an excellent wearing comfort despite its slightly increased weight. It will not be the way adjusts the earcups when adjusting the seat position, but it fits the headband with an automatic Kabelzugmechanismus the respective head shape and carrying position. In addition, the headset features a deep padding, which is no problem even for larger or protruding ears. The feeling to wear a closed headphones, disappear completely after a few minutes. ### Sound ###

Already at the first pieces of music (jazz, R & B, Funk, Electronic and SACD high resolution audio files) on my KHV Corda Opera liked the full sound, which ensures that the lower frequency ranges and lower middle stood out pleasantly. In jazz vocals but I had the feeling that the voices sounded a bit overcast and example Vibraphones from Roy Ayers have not worked out with his usual brilliance of my Grado SR 325i. I gave the headphones therefore first of all a few hours time to electrically and mechanically record a little. After about 10 hours at medium volume over the next Internet radio listening session began. With the result that the Fidelio X1 / 00 already something harmonious and bright and open tone. Delighted by the business effect I have the Philips sent overnight another 14 hours through the various genre and had yesterday for the first time the impression as if a veil from X1 / 00 was drawn. Now this sounded so open and transparent as I am used to with my Grado headphones. With the difference that the Fidelio X1 / 00 additionally brings a whole lot of bass foundation without drone in any way or to annoy.

I have the Fidelio X1 / 00 In addition, once a thing of my Samsung Note 3 with 320 kbit MP3 files and was impressed by how well-balanced sound of the headphones via the smartphone. For about 70% of the available volume of KH sounded loud enough. Instead of the supplied 3 m cable way, I have a 3rd party 3.5mm jack cable ribbon used, which is significantly more practical for mobile use 1.2 m, except the supplied 3 m cable. I'd Fidelio X1 / 00 therefore also recommended for portable use.

Conclusion:

Musical, well-balanced all-rounder for any genre (except classical), but the set only after a 10-20 hour break-in period. Excellent workmanship, coupled with an excellent wearing comfort at an exceptionally reasonable price from the current 200 220 EUR makes these headphones to a clear buy recommendation!
