Evolutionary psychology ("PE" or "EVOL PSY" for short) is a demanding discipline a particular approach to psychology - which is very little taught in France. Research conducted under the "evolutionary psychology" label are as rare in our country. The EP is yet rich theories and results. It provides an interesting interpretive framework to explain many behaviors like: "Why is the beauty in women a criterion sought by men" "Why do women love makeup?" "Why do adolescents take more risks than adults?" "Why do we remember better" living things "(rabbit) that" inanimate "(mountain)?" In this third edition of his book "Why Women are beautiful rich?", Philippe Gouillou makes a great introduction to the PE that is so often criticized, because most often exposed caricatured or wrongly. Perhaps critics of this discipline did they often misunderstood? or when they seem to have understood, perhaps she disturbs their personal conception of the human being? But being angry or saddened at the thought that science has shown that the earth was not the center of the universe does not change the deal! The land will not return to the center for much, even insulting the scientists who put that in evidence. Science is amoral, and PE as a scientific discipline is also amoral and apolitque (she is neither Right nor Left). She does not defend the supremacy of genes as can be heard sometimes it is fundamentally contrary "interactionist" (= genes and the environment (physical, social, parasitic (see the exciting face of the post-book ! P. Gouillou on this theme) account, meaning that any phenotypic characteristic is the joint product of genes and the environment). In short, PE is an exciting approach is well accepted and understood internationally. And, its reception in France is increasingly positive. The best way to get a good idea of the EP - which will undoubtedly be the general approach (and default) of psychology in the near future, as provided Darwin - is to read the book, written in accessible style, Philippe Gouillou.
