The mentioned in some contributions noise when switching channels, I could not notice until now. Sonically neutral, no advantage or disadvantage in relation to a good analog audio source.
Nor is the problem that the Toslink connector no longer goes out of the converter - on the contrary, holds not just rock solid.
The only drawback: The analog level at RCA is quite low, you have to turn up the volume control on quite unusual values ... should normalize this setting you before changing to other audio sources then remember ... :-)
