I am using now for a few weeks the Sekonic L-308 DC DigiCineMate, essentially in the studio. A few times I saw him already used in high-contrast outdoor. First (and second) impression may be all it (i) does! The exposure meter we delivered in a sturdy box. Is included as shown a bag with belt loop, in a separate sachet is the additional light measuring disk and a hand strap is also in. Manual in English and Chinese believed (or something similar). For the flash metering (I mainly used), there are 2 modes: 1) trigger the flash through the sync terminal (directly or via remote trigger) or 2) an automatic: it "starts" the exposure meter, fires the flash manually and then reads the aperture value from the exposure meter. The ISO setting is done via a dedicated button of ISO 3-8000. That should be enough actually. For the "normal" exposure pressing the measuring button, then you can select via the rocker, the speed / aperture combination. Alternatively, you can also display the light level switch. The increment (eg 1/3 f-stops) can be adjusted individually, depending on the camera. The only thing the Sekonic L-308 S FLASHMATE can not do is spot metering. But the person has not missed you. When I had to measure a small area, I have always (easily) made with the spot metering the camera. In summary: a (relatively) small, light exposure meter, which dominates all the essential functions with very good accuracy. A strong buy recommendation with 5 *****
