After #Beautiful (ft. Miguel, # 15 US) Mariah Carey is trying to present a new and old at the same facet of her creative spectrum on their new single "The Art of Letting Go".

The producers cooked according to old recipes. There is an impressive emotional and wordy lyrics, an orchestra, a sounding after 2013 beat and a vocal finale, which as usual can deliver only Mariah Carey. Is the song therefore a guaranteed hit? Although Letting Go embodies all units a great ballad, the song is still far from the mainstream. The melody is complicated, text and rhythm are not partially united in the flow of the music, yet has the song something that all can play this flaw, her distinctive voice. So a song for the fans? Maybe! Anyone who has followed Mariah's career and has gone along through all the ups and downs, Letting Go is understood as nostalgic completion of their past, as a new beginning and as a proof that they still can.
