These pads allow your headphones as cheap Grabbeltisch Quaker sound. This has nothing to do with audiophile or subjective perception, but is a fact.
I have this cushion used once and was dead unhappy about the sound. I then first again uses the old really mangled cushion and ordered me new original upholstery in over the Bose website (customer).
The bright Flauschi-cushion material is completely different, and once it was installed, I knew again why I bought these headphones times.
