My smartphone

As the Galaxy Note at IFA was introduced, I knew this is my new phone. It has to be soon, as soon as it is possible to obtain one of the first copies. When I opened the package on Thursday with the Galaxy Note, I was almost killed by the big machine. I looked at my "old" Xperia Arc and thought "the Galaxy you send back, that's way too big. But one week I can try it, yes. After all, it fits in your pocket before!" Of course, my opinion has changed in the meantime. Having handled a time with the Galaxy Note and look at my "little" Xpera Arc, now I think to myself, "This is but small."

The display
To put it briefly. The screen is a stunner. Considered not only in terms of size, but also the colors and brightness. However, I must agree with the previous speaker that I like pixel or Zwsichenräume can see something between the pixels. Again compared to the much smaller Xperia Arc (the display area is the Galaxy Note with 5.3 "compared to 4.3" whole 1.5 times as large). This can be much easier to surf, even without zooming. It's just fun.

The performance
The speed is very good. However, I sometimes perceive a little jerky when scrolling web pages. I do not know if the processor does not come then afterwards at high overclocking, but for such niceties there are certainly soon an update.
A crash I had not yet. The saw in the early days of my Xperia Arc still quite different.

The camera
- Very cool. I compare it with the Xperia Arc, which is supposed to be especially good for Exmor R sensor, so I guess that the Galaxy Note a better. She makes very good pictures, however, the saving in my opinion takes longer than the Xperia Arc, which is why you can not shoot as many images in succession - ok, who does that - and it's annoying when you just can not do anything because it is stored.
In addition, I have recorded a video in Full HD. The quality can be seen really, just that it was recorded at an evening event considering. Very successful, I find the display of the memory requirements of the video even during recording. By comparison, again the Xperia Arc. There was just in the early days of problems with the video recording, the picture was moving too fast for the camera, the camera image remained standing and kept running until after a few seconds. When you play the video, this offset was then only in the picture, however, not to notice the sound has thus resulting a delay between picture and sound after hanger in Picture (The problem was later adjusted per update).

The keyboard
I compare the keyboard or the functionality with my Xperia Arc, so that the Galaxy Note is significantly better, just because I can change the dictionary and can remove mistakenly added words again.

The pencil
The ability to use the pen is wonderful. I use it less often to write on the screen, as much more to operate. I do not know if you know the problem, but if I am Sunday morning in bed and want to ride something, the sliding properties of the finger on the display are not optimal or you want to click on the smallest links, this is the pen, the solution to my problems.

Accumulator
Battery I can not say as much. Day by day he holds different lengths with me. After one day (14 hours) of moderate use, it was at 70%, yesterday (24 hours) with significantly higher activity at 34%. A full day (24 hours) he holds through in any case. In my Xperia Arc was partly already after 14 hours he had concluded and to the electrical outlet. Maybe I use my smartphone but also way too often ...

Phone function
Of course you can make calls with the touch. At first it may be a bit unusual, because it's something big. But my main focus in such Smartpohne also is not with the phone. Anyone buying such a device, the main attention is given to other functions (write messages, surf, watch movies, take pictures, etc.). For me, the phone function is rather unimportant. One can put it: "another feature of Galaxy Note is the phone function."

Conclusion
All in all I'm very happy with my Galaxy Note and will certainly only replace it by a direct successor. It fits in your pocket and that makes it a worthy successor to my old Xperia Arc because it makes so few but better!
