Schandmäulchens Adventure (Limited Deluxe Edition)

With Schandmäulchens adventure, the medieval folk rock band Schandmaul has ventured to a new job and immediately turned it into a three-part work: There is a lovingly designed children's book, an accompanying audio book and a song disc with 10 songs for children. All together tells of Schandmäulchen, a little fool who sets out from home and a lot of fairytale characters encountered.

His name is Nick, and he soon finds loyal friends, for example, in the little magician Wim, the already done some mishaps, and a cutesy dragon who is pleased that Nik has no longer afraid of him. But witches, fairies and pirates before. Despite the many characters the story is built so simple that even children can follow their good maybe, because it depends more on the individual situations where the new characters can be discovered. The common thread of the plot in compliance with more in the background. The story has a very funny and turbulent, a lot of fun, and it can even draw some lessons from it that have to do with internal strength and courage not kitschy, not Headteacher way, but very organic and natural. And that's so beautifully written that even vorlesende adults have their fun. Add to this the many detailed and loving drawings that occupy large parts of the large-format pages and to draw as a kind of frame around the font.

The Audiobook CD tells the same story and will, singer of the band read by Thomas Lindner. He looks really like a fairy tale uncle who reads and stresses in comfortable pace, gives the individual characters each have their own voice. He shows a great variety and usually has a very cute and funny. Sometimes you can tell him that he is not very experienced audio book speaker still and looks a bit dirty, but also what makes the charm, the project entails: The tangible love for the story that you have to incorporate.

The third component of Schandmäulchens adventure is the music CD with children's songs that are thematically similar to the action and treat the many characters. The music style is typical of Schandmaul and medieval rock, however, clearly disarmed as usual. The lyrics are funny and suitable for children, right earwigs are, and yet they also depend on adults not so fast to my neck out what other sugary-sweet CDs so often the case. Despite the minimalism that is necessary for children's songs, a great diversity is preserved. Toll also that lyrics and notes are printed, so that parents can make music musical.

Schandmäulchens Adventure is a very ambitious and loving project that convinces with an entertaining and cute story. Not only children have fun thereto, as many characters are very well thought out and have their own special characteristics. Complemented by appropriate music and audio book gives a very coherent whole that could convince me much.
