The build quality is impeccable - the accessory matches the quality of Gopro, with housing and camera, there is a slight difference, but even here one must make no concessions. You get almost identical quality at a fraction of the price.
OPERATION - the TFT backplate is great
By TFT backplate very simple - what has always bothered me at Gopro, is the cumbersome camera orientation at fixing a bracket (eg on the roof of the car). The backplate with Gopro also need another Housing and attracts a lot of battery. When Dazzne you can use the built-in display Adjust the neck and let the camera do their job then.
BATTERY
More than the usual just over 70min are not even in here. However Dazzne spare batteries and charger provides the same time.
VIDEO
Output Quality you have to make some concessions - FullHD with maximum 30FPS and 60FPS HD with are no longer possible. In light dark or at twilight sensor rushes strong.
Quality of the recordings
The quality is comparable to my Gopro 2nd generation. Absolutely enough in good weather. At dusk the known noise and fast pans in Full HD unfortunately too little FPS. That is my only pain point - 60 FPS FullHD would be perfect for quicker scenarios. The housing has built no special anti-reflective glass, which sometimes leads to strong reflections on the lens.
FEATURES
There are a few extras that unfortunately lacks - for a few Dazzne can perhaps with a firmware update additional taxes: Timelapse mode unfortunately missing in the housing is then no longer possible sound recording, no Wifi or NFC connection and thus no remote applications ,
WHY bother?
For once, Because it's fair. The GoPro's cost now with accessories of EUR 500 for the bare necessities and are not qualitatively better performed in many aspects - the marketing and free samples will be paid for all the extreme sports, then deliver the beautiful images for the brand.
I already have several GoPro cameras along with various original accessories and use the cameras regularly to create in leisure and holidays in addition interesting video material to my eigentlichem hobbyhorse, the photograph. I had the camera on holiday here (in addition to various other) and found myself quite often that I, for example, not outside affixes the more expensive cameras on the car in order to avoid losses). Also on scooter next to the exhaust, I would have an expensive camera attached - in other words: The Dazzne is so good and so cheap that a total loss is not a doomsday - I can therefore recommend them to anyone who his camera in certain scenarios rather in backpack leaves.
(The camera was provided without charge me by the manufacturer for testing purposes. A expectations of the assessment has not been provided and otherwise made no impact on the scope and extent of the review.)
