If only Origin would not and yet another

There are plenty of opinions on the Internet to Command & Conquer. It is as always primarily a matter of taste whether you like it or not like it. I wanted to play part 3 and Red Alert 3 and Part 4 a closer look. That reminds me these games came exactly right.

Because my English is not so good, I wanted these games like to have in German. Seems it but not to enter. I bought the collection here for 15 euros in completely German, but was passed in the background to another provider that offers the English version for 14,50. At this point, kudos to the seller Software, Games and More: my complaint has been processed sympathetically and we were able to agree easily.

EA:
Maybe EA has not been adjusted, the maximum resolution of the old C & C parts, I can say nothing, because I play only the newer parts. However, EA has taken the trouble to integrate his Origin much deeper in the games, as it was the case with previous versions. This means that these versions of the game can not be switched to German.
Normally, invites you to the German files down, integrates them and ready. it does not work:
The HQ of the DVD version is not available here (The game starts right).
In the DVD version can uninstall Windows program the game to be adapted (language settings etc). Can not do it will be uninstalled directly.
If the English file by the German replaced (filename adjust), the game does not start, but reports an error and will be reinstalled. (Registry changes I did not try.)
In short: If you want to play it all English Super. If you want to play it German, one is with these Games Version ill advised.

Package Contents
The sales package contains only a download code. So create an account with EA and download. Now you need either a fast Internet connection or a lot of time. The games are partly summarized, ie: C & C 3 Tiberium War is only available together with Cain's revenge (10.9 GB), together with Generals Zero Hour (2.98 GB), Red Alert 3 Uprising together with (14.8 GB ). Only C & C 4 Tiberian Twilight (5.8 GB) there alone. The other I've not yet looked closely.

At Origin:
Now do not want to have C a few tips for those who Origin and the games and want to do all downloads only once. (If the installation is located zerschießt times).
After Origin has been installed, adjust only the Origin paths (Origin / Preferences / Advanced) before the download starts. You already have a game installed, and then change the default paths, Origin is therefore not really clear. In plain English: Reinstall.
One can say that it will keep the Installer Origin Although, it does not. A backup is still possible: simply the respective game folder after installing copy to a backup folder. If a new installation be necessary, copy back the secured folder in the source folder and start downloading over Origin. Origin is then noted that the download files are all available and ready to begin the installation.
