I have a little over 2 weeks before the CMX Aquila tablet in the 9.7 version (black, 16GB internal) bought. Recessions are not really my thing, but I want to confirm or clarify the opposite for anyone interested in this Tablet some statements my Vorrezessionenten.
Background:
As for my mobility, I am with laptop (Asus), Netbook (Acer) and mobile phone (HTC) really well looked after. A tablet was for me so far never of interest. As silly as it sounds, I've actually bought just for the upcoming Battlefield 4 (Commander Mode).
Only if I already DETERMINED me such a device, it should be also otherwise usable. Thus, my focus was on
a) Affordable
b) Large display
c) Without further ado root bar
d) Battlefield 4
e) Internet, e-mails, eBooks
After weeks of search, compare and read reviews I ended up with this device.
Straight from the start:
If I had a 25,000 Euro Skoda buy me, I have no right to complain, why did not he the Extras / Features / Functions of a 65,000 Euro BMWs!
In tablets, the acts in my opinion, just! I can easily to a 140 euros Tablet not make the same requirements as for a 350+ Euro Tablet! Because it simply the scale is missing.
That some do not seem to be aware of here
Here is a brief (fair) comparison in an equivalent class of devices:
CMX Aquila 9.7: 580g, IPS TFT LED, 1024x768, Cortex A9 dual 1.5GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 5900mAh battery, about 140 Euro
Acer Iconia A210 10.1: 685g, TFT LED, 1280x800, Cortex A9 quad 1.3GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 3260mAh battery, about 320 Euro
Apple iPad 2 9.7: 653g, IPS TFT LED, 2048x1536, Cortex A9 dual 1GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, 6930mAh battery, about 360 Euro
The manufacturer's instructions for the battery life of devices in all 3 time: 10 hours
Previous experience (s) with my device:
The device is very comfortable to hold and feels not difficult. The motion sensor reacts quickly to changes in position. The operation runs very smoothly and without any problems, even though I have the shipping protector still not removed from the display.
The tablet runs Android 4.1.1 which is the manufacturer (e-mail request to support with very fast response), the latest version of the 9.7 version of the tablet. So far, about 50 additional apps (weather, news, social media, games, utilities, system tools) have been installed, which all run without problems. The rooting of the device was completed without difficulty within 2 minutes. Tools like LBE now monitor the apps and protect against unwanted calls home. The speed when working with the tablet in my opinion is just like my smartphone (HTC One X) smoothly and without stuttering. An additional 32GB microSD card (SHDC) was easily detected. The wireless connection also works flawlessly. The function to operate a 3G stick into the USB port of mine could not be tested, on the one hand because I do not have a compatible drive and on the other hand, this function does not need (as I would have still the same to buy a 3G tablet).
The display I find quite good for this price range and the colors / fonts are beautifully presented to my mind. From the side it comes, however, considered quickly reaches its limits. As previously reported by another buyer, the CPU actually (inexplicably) is throttled to 1.2 GHz, which, given the product information already is naturally a little outrageous. But thanks to this root must be corrected quickly with a small app and the tablet is immediately noticeable (something) quickly.
As for the speakers, you should put any expectations here. For Posteingangston the email app naturally enough, one or the other video is also short but otherwise prefer the headphone jack or even the (mini) HDMI output use.
The last thing the battery: In my opinion, this is difficult to judge, since a battery always a factor includes users who can not be generalized. Who 200 Apps claps to the unit and also with many widgets works have an update interval of 10 minutes, need not be surprised if after a day the battery is empty. Aside from Day 1 (setting up, etc.) I use the Tablet currently max. 1 hour per day. For me, the battery overnight (with off-Fi) max loses. 10% power in standby and virtually nothing when it is off. The hour in the afternoon on the couch cost (depending on application) between 20% and 30% power. Thus, the device at the latest every 3 days to load depends on the power. If my phone is not much different. So I can not quite understand because some opinions on the battery.
The user is also just now and then in charge of the battery consumption
My Conclusion:
For me the optimal device. Fulfills its duties and works wonderfully. If BF4 still running I am even more satisfied. I can overlook the minor flaw and the battery is for me no problem.
Thus, I can recommend the tablet especially for that price anyway!
Update:
The reported "crashes" are now so far occurred and 2x with me.
Apart from a hard reset nothing has since helped. But I am about 90% sure that this is due to an app.
The crashes came after I installed "Widget Locker '. Since I uninstalled it again is no longer the error occurred.
