After I've done rather mixed experience in matters SD card and durability with different, partly also well-known manufacturers, and I was very happy with my PRO SD card from Samsung in my digital camera so far, I have this comparably priced model of the Pro Series ordered from Samsung. On the manufacturing side, I have found only one model allerdingst with 70MB read and 20MB write speed, so I was a bit skeptical about the promised here 80MB read / write 40mb information; In addition to some fakes in circulation be offering only a fraction of the power, if they work at all, but more on that later. The card arrived safely and firmly seated in a small easy-open plastic container, where, to my surprise came with a SD card slot. The map looks well made from, is made in Korea and the gold contacts show no signs of wear.
Now something about the power of microSD:
To compare the values with other cards, review and I compare the map with the values that are found in a fairly recent test of tomshardware.de from 27.Januar.2014.
Is tested with a USB3.0Transcend TS RDF5K and CrystalDsikMark 3.0.3 x64
The Samsung 16GB micro SD Pro UHS-1 meets or exceeds even slightly the promised values with a sequential read rate of 81,46MB / s sequential write it comes to 42,63MB / s Top!
Even with the random reading of 512-Kbyte data blocks reaching 75,93MB / s, so that they would be in this test, the fastest card.
At casual writing 512-Kbyte data blocks it breaks, however, a total and reached only 2,183MB here I would have expected much more.
The 4k values the achievements of all SD cards are limited, but compared to the tested cards tomshardware.de the map does practically the double reading and writing speed of 6,491MB / s and 1,877MB / s.
Here are all values listed:
Test: 1000 MB (0.0 / 14.9 GB)] (x5)
Sequential Read: 81 455 MB / s
Sequential Write: 42 627 MB / s
Random Read 512KB: 75 934 MB / s
512KB Random Write: 2,183 MB / s
4KB Random Read (QD = 1): 6,491 MB / s [1584.7 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD = 1): 1,877 MB / s [458.3 IOPS]
4KB Random Read (QD = 32): 6,973 MB / s [1702.3 IOPS]
Random Write 4KB (QD = 32): 1,480 MB / s [361.4 IOPS]
Conclusion:
microSD card under 10, there are many, but achieve them good read and write rates? This one does it, provided they are used at a USB3.0 connection in combination with a USB3.0 card reader or a UHS-1 enabled device.
The 16GB UHS-1 microSD card convinces with a good performance for the price-performance ratio. For just under 10 you get a very fast microSD card that shines with good sequential write values. Only at the 512KB random writes it bends in my test a little. Otherwise, it is just below the current top cards or exceeds in some tests even and at a much cheaper price. Therefore 4 star
Now they just have to run reliably and are made to last.
