The listening experience:
-------------------------
I compare the quality currently with my Onkyo TX-NR737, which reflects my HighRes music via DLNA. The difference: The Onkyo comes with resolutions higher than 192 KHz not clear the PiFi Dac + already. Another difference is noticed: The audio level will vary. The PiFi DAC is approximately 4dB quieter. Whether this is now on the DAC itself or on Reciver or a setting, I could not even notice.
I switch between the Onkyo (Net mode) and the DAC back and forth, I can not hear what's currently (Except the mentioned volume discrepancies) no difference in quality. Maybe I see any difference when I heard more music, but so far both sound (Onkyo and DAC) identical.

The DAC is built quite expensive compared to other DACs for Raspberry. To the DAC around you can find some more significant components not found in the other DACs. For example, the power to the DAC has been completely separated by a DC-DC converter from the remaining PI. for the DAC higher capacitors and resistors have been used which better audio performance to promise. The RCA connectors are gold-plated. The value for money is quite justified, in my opinion, even if the material value may not come close to the sales price, but we must not forget that this board will be well planned and had to be made. So this is quite decent.
