The time already great storyteller Anderson sees it on this album brilliantly the listener these old traditions to its special flute as literary beautifully, and as always convey to a very high musical level. Jack-In-The-Green (maybe Robin Hood) or chasing girls (Hunting Girl) as well as the famous magic potion (Cup of Wonder) may of course be an exciting stories this time not missing.
Anderson writes with - Songs from the Wood - again nine timeless and versatile songs beyond the trivial commerce and the charts, and allows on the back of record covers and a healthy dose of humor, by putting the arm of a record player on a tree stump, and thus suggests that this probably needs to play for a long time until he has played the music of many years grooves of the tree.
On the remastered CD there are two bonus track, including the hitherto unpublished - Beltane - and a very good version of Life - Green Velvet.
