And unfortunately here was the problem in detail. After turning off the Mac and subsequent switching on of these did not recognize the boot partition of the SSD !! Crap, I thought, now what !? So again everything forward front made. After the procedure but then after turning back the problem !! But because the problem was where damn !? When I off the SSD using the mini switch on the housing and have turned it worked so again. Since Lion was yet !!
So in troubleshooting:
My problem was that I have just connected the Western Digital HDD also to the second port. When I connected it via USB to your Mac, then worked even booting the SSD !!
But I did not want to anyway. Both drives should now run, via FW800, so I can use full speed. So, I first thought of a HUB 1394b Delock Delock 4 port IEEE 1394b FireWire Hub / Repeater. Certainly not bad to get extensions on the Mac. But how to do it first without that box?
So I've made the right thoughts that maybe it could also be that the Firewire port due to its continuous power supply (unfortunately) not enough applied current for the SSD. Thought right? So fast nor the power adapter plugged in out of the housing and also ...... therefore no improvement! :-(
***** **** ADDENDUM
It works only with the clearly designated Firewire800 HUB Delock Delock 4 port IEEE 1394b FireWire Hub / Repeater.
On Port 1, I then connected the SSD, on port 2 the Western Digital and Iomega External Port 3 another.
Thus, no boot problems are more :-)
Thus, although I can with some effort, but with considerably much benefit, with a clear conscience, the Samsung SSD incl. The SK-2500 and recommend to the Delock Hub!
So who thinks as a Mac user to the external switch to an SSD and does not want to go to the procedure of internal solution, which I can only guess at this "backpack variant" !! Absolutely brilliant, and certainly better than to work with the internal HDD!
Buy Combined :-)
