I was (even prior to purchase already) excited about the big screen, the 5-MP camera, the touch function ... everything that my Nokia E51 has not.
For processing of the mobile phone I would like to speak briefly, as my outpost have done decent job and I can only agree with them. Top quality, elegant design, no creaking or other parts of the battery cover and the keyboard is comfortable to use ... very good!
Up to this point I would have given you over 5 points to the phone.

But:

A SOOOO (!!!) POOR RECEPTION mobile network I did not expect !!! (VF, E +, O2)

Well, the SAR value of N97mini is 0.67 W / kg, which from my E51 1,47W / kg -.> Better reception characteristic at higher radiation Still, I did not expect that I ever lose contact with the network in a very well-developed area (GSM + UMTS).

The situation gets worse of course if you take the device in the hand and covers the antenna. In this Mini is mounted underneath the battery cover, so that, for example in the unfolded keyboard right hand does. This shields and receiving nothing. However, when I surf the Internet, then I am afraid to hold the phone ...
But even in the normal calls just by a part of the holding hand to weaken the reception tidy.

For these serious shortcomings in the reception I take all of two points from the evaluation because my reception of a mobile network is still very important.

I am of the opinion that such an expensive device with UMTS + HSDPA, which comes with such a poor reception and to portable and not to be used as a PC modem, must provide better reception.

Be honest: What brings a HSDPA phone if it does not find the network, according to the hand which holds the antenna concealed ???
What works with my bisherigem phone without problems, fails the Mini to the web search.

Disappointed, I have returned the device after one day.

The mobile phone is more suitable for trendsetters.
