Why? Well quite simply:
Like so many others here, I too have a grandmother, for this remote control was intended. Grandmother 92 years old, and your force reduces - even in the fingers. Although the really nice big rubber buttons provide a secure grip, the thumb does not slip away, but the keys can be very difficult to press. A real pressure point where you realize that the key was also pressed properly, not be felt. Grandma had already tried with 2 hands and 2 thumbs superimposed to press a button ... You screwed up very hard face. Unfortunately, you can not.
To make matters worse, the fact that the remote control must be very straight to the TV set. One has the feeling that Ferndienung has a beam angle of 1 degree. Of course I have also tested with new batteries, it did not improve. Must not and tend to be one the remote control and then comes to no signal. Iron sights, and a small built-in laser pointer would be appropriate here!
Well, perhaps the television is so bad, and needs to signal reception direct line, but a "universal" remote control should be unviersell, and compensate those possibly existing shortcomings of to-use appliances in my opinion.
All this makes the remote unfortunately absolutely useless.
Conclusion:
Those who do not scrupulously aims, and no longer so has very strong fingers, will not be happy with this, although it is easy to teach. I have to look around for something else.
