Positives:
+ Weretiger impression
+ Clear arrangement of keys
+ Direct connection for a wired headset (jack)
+ Very chic and easy to read display
+ Ethernet connection with built-in Web server for various configuration options
+ CTI Phone API connection
+ Link2Mobile - Connection of mobile phones via Bluetooth. Very chic and functioning properly
+ 3 answering machine
+ Large number field
+ DECT base with Eco and Full ECO DECT (affiliated to supporting all handsets)
+ Sync POSSIBILITY OF via the Gigaset Quickync Software
+ Over the phone or a connected handset can be selected on the line to be on the phone (including mobile)
Negatives:
- The surface is sometimes in black gloss lacquer. Nowadays hip, but you can see all the fat fingers and even when cleaning with a microfiber cloth to remain not out scratches
- The number field is unfortunately very difficult to move and sometimes squeaks something (case 2 devices tested). The other keys, however, are properly
- Drawback for me: I would like to operate a DECT headset from Jabra GN Netcom, the Jabra GN9120, however, is missing from the DECT base index the internal setting so that you can pick up the call from the desktop phone (base) with a single keystroke. This is also indirectly on the compatibility with the house on the Gigaset L410 page mentioned (See compatibility with other devices)
- Phone number of the mobile phone can not be selected (otherwise the Philips SE8881B)
Be with CTI (Phone API) connectivity with Windows it is imperative the Gigaset QuickSync software launched -
- The QuickSync software is not really intuitive, but does the job
- For me incomprehensible mentioned (also with deactivated Ethernet connection) and the Gigaset Forum when a screensaver (eg date and time) is active, then at regular intervals (10 minutes) disables this, it takes several seconds for the standard display and reactivated. If you have the phone in sight, then this effect can seem a little disturbing. Far Remedy: Disable Screen Saver
- The firmware updates are unfortunately not to the extent as for the 'professional' EN appliances (eg EN 900) and are also not technically conditionally compliant
- The Gigaset Support is bad in my eyes (call center ???), since two email requests to have let wait and telephone support now is handled by a number 0900'er 4 weeks. The answers were not really satisfactory
Summary:
The device is not bad, but there are also some disadvantages. How hard must each decide for themselves weigh this. For commercial use, if necessary, a professional device DE (EN 900) of Gigaset is the better choice. When connecting Gigaset handsets carefully the compatibility (which is what not) on the Gigaset Check page.
Overall, the advantages and disadvantages to the other devices DX600 and DX800 can relate because these (except for the ISDN option) are basically the same. These also use the same firmware.
I have 2 star subtracted because me already annoying the numeric keypad (just too sluggish and squeaks), the unit repeatedly briefly deactivates the screensaver and re-activated, and that (important for me) it 'switch internally' not available (for the DECT headset).
A tip for those who want a professional wireless headset (eg Jabra 9470) want to operate: When searching for DHSG conversion on the Internet, then there are two companies in a conversion.
