Among the features / problems etc. Some of this is already been said, so I will be brief.
The reasons why I kept the Asus were:
+ IPS Glow much more harmless than the others, because it has some already bothered me. It falls a little getting used to any more.
+ Balanced picture, including working longer without fatigue possible. Anyone who thinks here to have PWM problems ... so I do not know. Generally there is this phenomenon of course, but technically it is not required with this model, see the relevant tests to the net. The repetition rates are just too high, than that you should remember it anyway.
+ Good compromise between "Office", "Gaming", "Video" and "graphic". In no area has seriously any complaints.
+ No auffäligen, let's call it, aberrations. By that I mean all the diseases that bring LCD panels so all (!) More or less to himself. Register here stands nothing directly negative out, the image is "good"!
+ Pivot function, USB3 hub, many connections, simple black-matt appearance, stable stand, rotatable, height adjust, swivel.
These points I can not judge directly, but in my opinion, are in order:
o color fidelity. After a little adjustment work for me subjectively quite well, objectively I can not judge it for lack colorimeter.
o black level for IPS very good. Also Clouding is scarcely determine with me, but that is of course a matter of luck.
o response time and input lag. I can think of nothing negative to even Shooter etc. work well. Ok, who comes from fast TN panels may possibly already notice a difference, but imho makes the Asus this offset by a good overdrive control and the good color and contrast dynamics. Who really wants to gamble _nur_ and worth nothing other relays in response time, which is probably still better off with a good monitor TN panel.
o Min. brightness, criticized by many here. Ok, have the brightness on 0, but it's ok, even if I sit almost in the dark. And besides, the brightness in the Custom mode again anyway -20 as opposed to the pre-defined modes such as standard or sRGB. So if you really want darker, easily adjust the user mode and adjust accordingly. Thus it is even too dark! ;)
However, I think only good 4 stars. The reasons for this are:
- Beastly bugs me that the monitor automatically switches to the next active input when the Active off. I currently run a server permanently to the VGA connector and desktop PC via HDMI. Is the HDMI signal (eg "screen" after xxx minutes in Windows), the input automatically switches to VGA. After manual switching only helps back to HDMI on the monitor can not be turned off ... this automatic.
- Setting menu and also the joystick operation not particularly like it. Maybe it's me, but I always just hit the wrong button and generally I find the menu system just is not particularly successful.
Hmm, let's say 4 1/2 points. The what is important really - the image - is really good! I do not know which 24 "16:10 screen will be better overall. So who has a tip, just tell me!
