I admit I preferred the story of Jennifer, the woman torn between loyalty to his social milieu and heartbreaking love for Anthony journalist. The missed opportunities have hurt me for them, because these two characters are eminently sympathetic.
Not quite the same enthusiasm for Ellie that I found annoying sometimes cling to its writer, visibly reluctant to change their lives for it, without perceiving in Rory loving man he can be.
This is the author's strength to make us feel so strong an attachment to one or other of the characters! The style is vivid, very readable and very well-crafted plot.
Here is a book I like, that takes us and makes us forget everything around us!
