After reading a magazine article in Psychology on the spectacular healing of gangrene Phakyab Rinpoche, I wanted to read his book. Beyond his career in US hospitals where he "landed" after fleeing Chinese torture and its healing through meditation, he speaks in the book of his childhood in the mountains of Tibet, his family attached to its traditions but living under Chinese rule, secret religious practices, dreams and initiations ... Even if this is not the essence of the book, I was particularly touched by the child that this monk tells with delicacy and happiness. For the rest of the story and of his exile in the United States, I leave you the pleasure of discovering but know that this book makes you want to rise to the light of the Self and experience the joy of meditation.
