Defending Jacob (Paperback)

Customer Review

William Landay (1963-) is an American lawyer and writer, author of detective story.
In 2012 with the psychological thriller "Defending Jacob", he encounters a wide international success.

The story is simple and terrible.
Andrew Barber, respectable family man, is the senior assistant prosecutor Newton County (suburb of Boston).
But this time, it is he who has to go to the other side of the bar. Here he no longer prosecutor, but witness before a grand jury.Et because his own son, Jacob, is strongly suspected of murdering a schoolboy.

A nagging question: How can we imagine one second that his own child is guilty of a crime?
Being that we think know best, the flesh of his flesh ...

I enjoyed reading the long polar documented fluid taking.
Nevertheless, something is missing. The suspense is not so breathless and doubt is always present in the end.
A good read, however, makes us wonder about the complexity of the human being.
