The curling iron itself is covered with a velvet cloth. So the bar can be touched briefly even at 200 degrees, without being burned. The tip of the curling iron is however not really hot, so you can handle them in styling. What's really handy.
Two other small but handy features include automatic shut-off after 60 min. Uptime and the voltage adjustment (110 240 volts). The curling iron can thus be taken safely with you on holiday.
Despite all the good features and good handling, but it should be noted that the velvet on the curling iron is not the wisdom last word. Although he protects against burns, leaves the hair but also always depend on it. So they are not so easily solved by the staff. In addition, some remains associated with the time to dust the velvet.
Conclusion: The two criticisms of the Velvet coating are, I believe, little concessions that everybody likes is willing to sacrifice in order to avoid burns. Aside from these little things, you get with the HP 8619 Pro Care a really good curling iron.
The 4.5 star I round on.
