The CTEK it is of course the reason that it is really good.
It's my second CTEK battery management unit, because my first was bought by about 11 years, unfortunately given up the ghost. But may also have been because it has fallen out of the stairs and is like equal to the basement. After that, it has not given up the ghost directly, but may have been slightly damaged ...
For the 11 years I would like to say that I am in 2 other purchases since the introduction of guarantee, already 2x annoy really too "cheap" products had to, because after 6 months and the burden of proof of the seller (not here in the Amazon) do not replace the product wanted. In one case, I even complained to lawyers. Did not lead to success.
I'm just saying, I think it's really great good that there are still products or manufacturers as CTEK that offer really good merchandise at a fair price.
But now to the device and its function.
All packaged well and commissioning easy and unproblematic.
Only the connectors to the two "connections" to the device has changed to my old unit. So I had to replace the fixed connection point on the car. But is not a problem per se.
The CTEK I use actually to the battery in a pure summer car over the winter months to keep fit. Bought was the first device, because the starter battery was defective from said open summer vehicle with Stern after 3 years. Now holds the second starter battery with the CTEK for 12 years, which is already great. Even high-quality batteries for prof. Industrial applications from reputable manufacturers have a maximum of a function warranty of 10 years (I mean here especially lead batteries) and now I'm not talking of a starter battery for a car. I myself also knows exactly what I'm talking because I myself Dipl.-Ing. am of Electrical Power Engineering and exactly know the industrial applications in my practice.
Therefore, I would also not so long with the various phases of the battery charge, Conservation and even revival at deep discharge (which I myself have not tried it yet) speak.
This time I have the "Bumper" rubber bought this, to protect it more if it falls.
I just say at the end, a perfect battery management device for real fair price.
