Handling:
Camera has almost the same dimensions, but is become flatter a lot what you handy makes in my opinion compared to the predecessor model.
The case looks much more noble than the SX200, looks like metal and not after so much plastic as the old model!
The dial (Image modes) is now next to the LCD display so you do not constantly have to rotate the camera in order to spin the wheel.
Changes compared to the SX200
SX200 vs. SX210:
Pixel: 12.1 vs. 14.1
Blitz: constantly extended vs. Lightning foldable
Focal Length: 5,0-60,0mm vs. 5,0-70,0mm
Optical zoom: 12x vs. 14x
Macro mode min. Distance: approx 0cm vs. 5cm (here one could answer it much closer to the old)
Memory Card: SD + SDHC vs. SD + SDHC + SDXC (SDXC new format, theoretically up to 2TB possible)
Continuous shooting: 0.8 frames / sec in AF - 0.7 B / s in AF
max. Image Size: 4000 * 3000-4320 * 3,240
Other new features and partly features the SX210:
Self-timer by smile (is really good, the girlfriend has not been, and could get
does not believe) ;-) (SCN set and smile)
Miniature effect (you have to manually adjust the SCN mode)
Acts Fisheye effect the center enlarged (also adjustable SCN)
Adjust colors - (via SCN) there are different modes with which one example only red
permits as color and the rest is black / white (great effects!)
Colors convert - from yellow, you can for example make red, etc.
Turn back the video. Did not go with the old! Funny also the one of a
Spider times makes in macro mode a pivot about their own status and everything stays sharp!
For macro mode: Here one could go ran much closer with the old camera. However, only made sense when it was light enough and you have photographed without flash, because the flash is partially obscured by the lens. (Shade below right) With the 210 you can not get close to, but I can not say now that by the images are poor as in the 200. Guess which one has so improved the problem with the flash covered.
Display in 16: 9 format, thus longer than the old. The image is not displayed on the entire display, since the edge is used for ads!
Attention for the HDMI connector you need another adapter as it is a mini-HDMI connector.
Attention, when using the new SDHC cards. This requires also an appropriate card reader.
In older card reader models work only the standard SD card! Sure, you can also read the camera via the data cable, and I prefer the version with the SD card.
So these were the differences that I noticed so.
Overall, I am very satisfied. The camera takes great pictures and overall the improvements over the previous model, not insignificant!
Useful for those who had not yet discovered: To view the images you have the camera not turn on "Power" but simply presses the "image display" button next to the display. So the camera does not go out and you look just the pictures!
To have given hope for a "lay" a little bit more.
