I have created a hole by means of a wooden peg driven into the ground down (in the same diameter as the device) and then the unit in this hole. I have sunk to the start of the green cover in the ground in order to also mow over it can.
What can I say - all moles (16 clusters) have been away for 2 weeks. I have spread the earth and not a single hill was recreated by the animals. Thus probably are all gone!
It comes to my mind on the fact that the wall of the appliance firm contact with the ground has round to transmit the sound well.
Since the hole wall has been compressed by the chosen wooden peg works all so so good.
The sound is then overground perceive only as a very faint rattle - thus not disturbing at all unlike those pfeiffenden or high-frequency devices.
I also wanted no solar version, because for me the following is clear:
Batteries have more power and operate reliably - whether snow, rain, clouds, shadows, foliage or just dirt.
The battery life with approximately 6 months is totally unacceptable to me.
