In the service reception I was told that I was the first person with a defective Xperia Z is (what an honor ...) and I had basically around 150-200 euros expected repair costs. The Xperia must also be sent to a Sony-certified workshop, in order to guarantee preservation. Hmmmm, I thought, a lot of money, but probably dearly for not completed insurance.
A week ago, I received the estimate about 409 .- !!!!! 409.- for a faulty screen, incl. Faulty touch screen.
Not willing to spend so much money (with a new price of around 600.-), I've researched it, if and where there are possibly more favorable repairs. Had Well, bad luck: Spare parts are missing everywhere (which is understandable when a new device), but the problem is that the "free" workshops do not yet know whether they will be able, the Xperia Z can thus repair at a display damage, it then still be waterproof. O-TON a reputable sounding workshop: "We will test the in the coming months and if we can not make it, we will no Xperia Z - perform screen repair specialist."
Long story short: The fall may have been unhappy. But the fact is that the repair of Xperia Z display at least is currently exorbitantly expensive. The special sealing of smartphones Greetings apparently and perhaps the known high Erstatzteil Price Policy Sony plays a role. It everyone should decide for themselves whether a supplementary just the Xperia Z is not particularly useful .... And: No, I'm not Vericherungsmitarbeiter or representatives ....
How many stars give now? For the fall, the Xperia Z nothing. Whether another smartphone would have been more robust, is idle to speculate ... The not completed insurance goes well on my own cap.
