After five studio albums and a live double album you have to bring out the right a Greatest Hits. The problem with best-of-plates is always that everyone pretty much has a different idea of what is best and what is not. In this case, it has the record company made simple and the singles preferably packed on the album. Is not wrong in principle, but what was going on back then '91 / '92 on MTV in heavy rotation, were especially hard rock ballads such as "Do not Cry" and "Knockin 'On Heaven's Door". Including the compilation suffers. Although it starts quite crisp on the crackers "Welcome To The Jungle", "Sweet Child O 'Mine" and "Paradise City", but after that the pace of the songs is still noticeably slower Faster songs come then only sporadically before. Of course, these are all great songs ("November Rain" is still my favorite song of the band), but for a rock record is me just one gear too little! I welcome that the Stones cover "Sympathy For The Devil" is from the soundtrack "Interview with the Vampire" on it, which is usually found on any slice of G'n'R, but I think it's really stupid that Here a total of 5 Cover versions can be found. As if the band could not write good own business! As I said, the best pieces are always a matter of opinion. I would have liked to have 1-2 songs from "Appetite For Destruction" on it and "Garden Of Eden" could also have to pack up, so that the wheel gets more speed. "Is not It Fun" I would have left out; I do not find particularly beautiful would also be at least one live version was a song.. Not only the comeback attempts fall constantly into the water, even this Greatest Hits unconvinced entirely. For those who have by Guns n 'Roses but nothing yet, it is a worthwhile purchase.
