For a long time I was looking for a book to go beyond the traditional "Shin Nihongo no kiso" or Minna no nihongo. "The problem is that after having assimilated these books, it's hard to progress when studying only because the works are lacking. Certainly there are others, but always returning to the same points of grammar. With the "Manekineko language and culture", I finally found a text book in Japanese on Japan. The texts are well chosen, and I find the idea very good for making sections (texts, grammar - which serves as a memento - kanji and vocabulary). Grammar includes most of the points seen in the first study cycle while deepening. Best of all, the editor offers the texts with furigana on all the words, and the translation of texts. Personally I work with "Shin Nihongo no kiso" and for the translation, you have to pay! Congratulations for this excellent book. Still, it is not recommended for autodidacts who have not mastered the basics of Japanese grammar and kanji minimal, otherwise they will find themselves lost ...
