Since I like to do in the evening with my girlfriend for a walk or just sit in our unlit garden, this lamp is the ideal companion. It makes a pleasant light that radiates in all directions, as opposed to a flashlight. It is operated with 3 AA batteries. By pulling up the light cylinder the lamp is automatically activated. Overall, it makes a very robust and sophisticated look and is still pleasantly light. For the price it is a strong buy recommendation.
