In order to finally leave with multiple external hard drives to different computers that Hantiererei I got II 2TB NAS External Hard Drive home to me the Western Digital My Book World Edition WDH2NC20000E. The result I anticipate:

The board sends data with about 10-12 MB / s via LAN, which extends in the result for mp3 streaming or video streaming. HD video editing (1 min video ca, 950 MB), for example via iMovie is not possible. For me therefore a killer argument and the NAS is unfortunately back.

Too bad, because it looks good. mE is wrapped in plastic rigid and are in the active state a quiet (really quiet) noise by itself (rotating disks). Access to the hard disk is clearly audible, but rather comforting than annoying (quiet clacking).

In addition, the lame UI bugs. 20s waiting time for reaction is not uncommon. Etc. hear when using the NAS by eg mp3 also like 1 minute.

The iTunes server does not work with iTunes 10 and Twonkey media streamer as for other DNLA enabled devices could also be a lick of paint and therefore get some grip.

Apple Time Machine is running without problems.

So whoever does not handle HD video through the net or even just want to look at who does not sound the same to 5 devices 320 Mbit mp3s who should be happy with the NAS.
