The title says it all. In dominated vanities music business Travis are an exception. Who knows the faces of the band. Actually incomprehensible. At the latest after their final commercial and artistic breakthrough with "The Man Who" they play in the premier league. With their new album, they make incredible things. From the first note - the single "Sing" - singer / songwriter / mastermind Fran Healy gives us a CD to melt away. You can hear melodies, harmonies and a singer who reveals sensitive and vividly his feelings. Hardly anyone sings so well between hope and Weltschmerz and leaves the listener back to a positive shudder. Congenially produced by Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, among other things - OK Computer) here an atmosphere of positive melancholy is provided which interacts with each renewed hearing. Are the musical differences with the previous album too low, yet they have created with this work their (previous) masterpiece. Listen and empathize.
