Blur are always good for a surprise: flawless Britpop have served on PARKLIFE and influenced on the BLUR Post Grunge, American sound. And also on their recent sixth plate 13 they refuse again all clichés of the market. The first single "Tender", a gospelnde 7-minute anthem, the handset weighs even in security - then it's in "Bugman" going on with real drills. Merely excessive harmony, bulky sounds, as far as the ear can see. In between casual swinging, grooving songs like the charming "Coffee & TV" stand (yes, the video with the cute little milk carton). At 13 it is careful - you can find him, him, we often desperately searching for the perfect pop song. Sometimes he hides behind sharp cacophony walls, sometimes he hides under soft-swirling soundscapes. Britpop is dead - long live Blur! (This is an Amazon.com at the university-student review.)
