I would first like to note here that I was the rezensiere what for me the reason to buy. And that's not the Blu-ray player, but the sound system. Having gerwartet many years on a pure AV receiver Panasonic, and it is anscheined not give this, I have my old Pioneer system now replaced by this. The main reason why necessarily Panasonic is that I already have TV and hard disk recorders from Panasonic and I did not want to have lying around a Fernbedieung for the sound. Pretty looks it up on the front speakers ... who do not go. We have a small living room where they simply have no place. Therefore, it was planned that the old boxes to lie, so saves you the whole cable to be laid newly. Unfortunately, far from it. The speaker cords are Panasonic's proprietary plug! nothing with cable simply pinch. So this had to be removed and are soldered to the old cable (yes, soldered, a clean remove and re-install is not possible). Even if we had the cable re planning to move, this would have been much too short! To guarantee and return ever excluded by this "botched". First test of course the highly anticipated by me Viera experience ... unfortunately disappointing. Lt. Panasonic would automatically start the system when the TV is turned on. This is only so when the TV is in standby! Since I was brought up, these identify the main power switch (and maintained this will also), that does not work in advance! So first television, then plant. If you are lucky then comes directly out of the television sound. If not too early to plant: TV recognizes conditioning up too late (or vice versa?): TV on only times the image to the Blu-ray player. Annoying matter. So much for the Viera (though I should have known, since I'm already vorgeschädgit with TV to recorder, promises much and the conditions that it works you can then read in the manual after buying it).
Among the settings: - As in previous reviews claiming that the fine-tuning of each speaker only via the display are possible, is not true. Here there is a menu to do so. (But yes, the display of the BR is very small, and not really recognize what it says, but what is there are already great? .. You have to anyway always in the menu to set what, the remote control is water clear) - In my old system, there was a very nice feature that was called "Quiet" or "Midnight" This could be done with a single push of a button the bass low or completely out, very handy in rental housing. This very'm missing here. To accomplish this I must first settle in the fine tuning of the speaker and there the menu db bass down.
In the end is the sound when properly adjusted, definitely good. Menu is self-explanatory and the Blu-ray player, I can only say that it works, because here as I said is not my main focus.
If my Pioneer not already totally outdated and had taken only one optical connection also had a couple of HDMI inputs, I would, however, this the Panasonic preferred since it significantly more setting were present here in spite of the age, and a lot with just a single touch of a button without once going to the menu.
Conclusion: + Looks nice + Sound good + Menu clearly (from another point of view, a drawback) + - Price-performance okay - Cable is too short - To enjoy Viera with swabs
