[SPOILER]
Anticipation, because many speakers apparently unable to sci-fi elements of the film were recognized - even if the film so not exactly stingy:
A NASA research spaceship is conventionally and the edge of our solar system flown to ignite there a "gravity drive". This is using Gravitronen (hypothetical particles, "cause" which our known gravity to) fold the spacetime on a undendlich short (ie not equal to zero, but only infinitely close to zero) distance, so as to produce a singularity through which one immediately get from one point in space to another. While this is mistakenly referred to as "Black Hole" in the film, but in these depths of theoretical physics and quantum mechanics, so I can only smile at a tiny script error. Since bothers me more that "toxic" CO2.
Who is still too little SciFi, would probably prefer to become a physicist.
For a 17-year-old movie, the effects are still visible today; Since I have seen worse of recent films.
The actor's performance is very high, with all the actors, although some (Laurence Fish Burn and Sam Neill) truly stand out.
The script has a few forgivable weaknesses - for me the most are the smoking characters; One would think nobody would even smoke in 2047 (at least I hope).
Very nice, I personally feel that it does not remember how many other films at an earthquake Szenarion. It is therefore not set to Shakycam and Handheld, until you feel like tumble.
Paul WS Anderson has succeeded with this film a dark science fiction horror that really got me chained to the screen. If you like science fiction, and is not averse to the horror will find great entertainment in this film. Conversely, the sci-fi part is not so massive, so as not to spoil the horror friend the film (you may namely also quiet station understand).
