Purgatory innocent (Paperback)

Customer Review

Enticed by the many rave reviews, I bought Murders for redemption and Purgatory innocent. If the first is a paved thousand pages to the incredible story, it is easy ... We do not believe for a second to read this character of Marianne, daughter of Fantômette and Terminator, still recovering from strokes and abuse of all kinds, but there is a very credible story ... but involved.
The second, the famous Purgatory is rather a purge ... I do not question the talented writer Karine Giebel: it has a style. But as she seeks by writing such a succession of horrors? I wonder.
This book is a veritable manual at sadists out of inspiration. And I was almost ashamed to read, encourage shame, buying his book, the author to continue digging further into cruelty to detail with an almost surgical precision. Reading this, I said to myself, you get voyeur. One becomes complicit in someone exhibits violence, describes with a rare indulgence, is visibly revels. Certainly, the characters are fictional, but the facts narrated could be true. And they are unsustainable. And the author adds some, still, more, ad nauseam. And the twists follow one another, it is rivalry, it is believed to have reached the worst, it was not. The beings riddled with bullets, burned, slashed, beaten survive: yes, we must make them suffer even more! (This is recurring at Karine Giebel, that, by the way.) And I thought me a criminal for recently flattened a mosquito, I find myself angelic, naive that I never imagined that we could do the characters act (fiction, what is more) so barbarously. Anyway ... I put two stars because I respect the work of the writer, but I removed three because the intention behind this there has writing deeply evil act there puts me at ease. Shine the spotlight on someone so despicable that Patrick, we share his delusions sadistic, we heard about his despicable ... and especially imagine all that, why? What? Especially since this is at the expense of a plot glimpsed at first, even expected, and quickly abandoned in favor of an unhealthy exhibitionism, Free ... The plot of departure appears more quickly than a pretext to justify the narration of a series of abuse ... An excuse to permit to stage a perverse, for him to say and do the unspeakable, to detail what he does, to insist on a thousand times physical and moral suffering of its victims ...
You will understand, I would not recommend this book. He has no interest to me for lovers of fine literature, it may shock sensitive souls, and the perverse of all kinds do not need to be provided with an additional illustration of the different ways to torture a human being . As for the others ... They will make their own opinion, like me.
