Smartphone and software are indeed such a thing ... in which one are you, the other not. I would like to not call it a cure-all, but maybe it leads yes with some success.
The first attempts failed. The radio has been updated to the latest version. The S5 was at the time on Android KitKat (4.4.2) had already had suspicions that it is the adapter, have it but can rule out because the image was displayed on the radio. On the S5, the connection to the radio has been shown, but it went no further. Next step would be a white image with subsequent calibration image and message for the successful connection. This did not materialize.
I have again and again tried, to no avail. So I did some research on the net and it was recommended by a Android update reset to factory settings. Even after the reset was nothing better. As a last resort I saw the attempt on Android 5.0 update Lollipop and it is now properly !!!
I had in the beginning is not much good on this combination (Galaxy S5 with Android Lollipop) is because this probably makes a lot of problems, but I have to say that it works for me so far without any problems.
I think by Lollipop Android compatibility has been improved, but this is my subjective opinion.
The connection works without problems and no flicker or zickt around (compared to before).
