The first impression was: "Oh God, what a great thing!"
That's well. With adapter weighs 904 grams and is 16 cm long.
By comparison, my 20 mm Panasonic: 140 grams, 3 cm long.
The plastic case aroused in me no real enthusiasm, the mechanics of the focus / iris ring already.
The lens hood is not just a treat (but at least available).
The flange could be adapted well and sits tired.
I first shot a dazzling series in daylight.
At maximum aperture, the screen looks a bit soft, but is perfectly acceptable. From Aperture 2 everything is in the green zone.
The Bokeh is not as creamy as the top lenses, but absolutely fine.
The video results in low light were good (bezel 2-5, 1/50, p 25).
I check the results only visually on a large screen (which counts for a filmmaker most) and there is the
Walimex / Samyang quite grades.
The fixed sprockets allow direct a follow focus use, thus eliminating a troublesome assembly.
For photography exif data are already helpful, but are for films without meaning.
Conclusion:
Not great: height, weight, a lot of plastic
Well: Gegenlichtblende present but popelig
Class: Aperture, Film / Photo Results
If you can live with almost a kilo plastic monster that photo and video Technically almost plays in the big leagues, is right here.
I have due to the weight at first it hesitated to keep, but what are the alternatives for that price?
Finally, the Walimex got me a nice rubber bezel and appropriate filters. I am satisfied so far and do not regret the purchase.
