It is law that it is precisely then something breaks when mans really needs ... and so it was with the lens. Without warning, without it being often fallen, just as I had one day suddenly two parts in hand. I had fallen out of the lens, the front lens.
Well, it happens to all plastic and not for nothing that the metal versions of this lens are coveted;) And because it is not now even particularly expensive, I've just ordered. But now I could see the fingers does not really leave it and just had to play around with it and found out that all the plastic in which the front lens is recessed, is simply held by only two plastic hooks. If these are therefore not broken, but only the splices easily have solved (possibly heat?), You can use the front lens just in the correct position and push back with a little gentle force. It then clacks times already and it sits firmly back and work as usual.
The next day came and the new lens and I have felt in 1000 compared images made with a ruler and tripod - Conclusion of the whole: there is no difference, the focus of the old (actually broken) sits even more accurate. It is just as sharp, it focuses precisely, I see no limitations.
I'll call it luck;)
