Operating speed / performance:
Wiko is the Getaway with Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) to the most recent version (4.4.4), leaving it in the pure vanilla form and dispense with additional apps, do own customizations, or an entire surface as Sense (HTC) or TouchWiz (Samsung), the unnecessary burden and slow down the system.
The 1.3 GHz quad-core processor (6582) ausm home MediaTek is one of the best quad-core processors that have been developed so far, the Chinese and even the company's own Octa-core processor (6592) in terms of speed and performance in the shade.
Together with the 1 GB of memory, it provides a very good job and ensures a smooth workflow without large stuttering or hooker.
Display:
Wiko installed a 5-inch display, which "only" has a HD resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels, but this low resolution to full HD models is striking only in direct comparison. The display offers a very good contrast with natural colors. Pictures are nice to look at and to read Scriptures clearly.
The quality of the viewing angle of the side show differences. You look directly from the upper and lower sides of the display, the contrast is very good and the colors are retained. But when viewed from an angle at the corners of the device, a clear gray haze over the screen and the color sets are faded.
But you have to always keep in mind that one has this to do with a device that costs just under EUR 200. A Google Nexus 5 or Sony Xperia Z1, which cost far more, offer a better display.
In addition, it is protected by Gorilla Glass 2. But here we come to the first flaw. Through the glass coating, fingerprints are magically attracted and can be removed only with difficulty. In addition, "flutschen" fingers not quite as loose and easy as to which one opens from time to time an app that you do not really want or you reinhaut one or the other error when writing. It may be that you get used to after a long time it, but it can direct competitors, which are the same or sometimes even cheaper, definitely better.
Memory:

But here also the highlight of Getaway on what to observe.
One has to be able to the possibility of operating the device at the same time with 2 SIM cards (Dual SIM). If this is done, no memory card is possible, because the left slot determines either a micro SD card for a nano-SIM OR. In the right only a micro-SIM fits.

Camera:
From the start the camera app to provide passes max. a quick second.
The 13 megapixel camera makes good pictures. But here one must note that 8, 12 and the full 13 megapixels only the aspect ratio of 4: 3 are available. If, in order to full screen, there are only max. 6 Megapixels, which is a bit disappointing and does not want to seem to fit to the overall impression.
Nevertheless, one still has a lot of settings for exposure, color effects, or even a scene mode for a variety of situations.
In addition, an HDR mode, self-timer and continuous shooting ne for 40 images are available.
Handling & Processing:
The processing is the aluminum frame which once completely wraps around the entire device, at a very high level. Nothing creaks or wobbles. The sietliche According Quiet-rocker, and the power button, which are made of aluminum also fit perfectly and provide each excellent pressure points.
Unfortunately fits the back are to the otherwise great performance. At first glance it might look like "imitation leather", but when you touch it and knock it slightly, hearkened, and heard it, that it is plastic. What does not work right, is the fact that between the display unit (incl. Touch keys) and the lower aluminum frame can be seen an ugly gap in the rapidly accumulating dust. In my first meeting after unpacking, I had only the dust layer quasi free and as production equipment, whereby the gap is even more immediately encountered and eye. But that is also the last blemishes at Wiko Getaway.
Battery:
At first glance, is one of the built-in battery with its 2,000 mAh right, if not, too small before. Yet all little-to normal and small frequent users I can give the all clear.
Thanks to the good and probably economical processor and the lower display resolution, through which the processor has to pay less, you get with e-Mails-, SMS, WhatsApp-literate, occasional surf the Internet and of course the "old-fashioned" calls loosely over one day.
Only great multitude, and especially power users should make a detour around the Getaway.
Conclusion:
For up to date (08/13/2014) 199 EUR you get the Wiko Getaway a nice shape, no-frills and liquid working smartphone with an aluminum frame that, except for the small gap under the display, with impeccable workmanship shines and not misled into believing a smart phone this to have price range.
