I have this part purchased separately for a charter cruise in the Caribbean, to ensure so that I get on the boat loaded iPhone and iPod - and it works flawlessly. Both my iPhone4 and 3GS as well as any iPod were harmless to load it. Also tested in the car (mini), works flawlessly. The holder into the mains good, it was sometimes hakelig, it rauszukriegen again (turn helps). For me, makes the thing what it is - and the fine at a price. Strong buy recommendation!
