I want to compare the following 3 Binoculars together today:
- Olympus 10 x 50 DPS-I
- Bresser 11x56
- Celestron Skymaster 15x70
The idea was a good and practical Binoculars for private / hobby nature pick area.
To find out, I set up a test / test:
In the distance of about 1.2 km there is a sign for which I can eranhnen from my balcony to the Blosen eye. The aim is to be able to read the sign clearly with binoculars.
Before I go further with the result a few words about the general impressions of the binoculars:
Processing:
Olympus 10 x 50 DPS-I: Note 1-2 / connected looks very very solid, nothing wobbles, the materials are of high quality and tight
Bresser 11x56: Note 2- / Not quite as solid as the Olympus, but quite grippy and solid
Celestron Skymaster 15x70: 3-4 / The rubber coating to the lenses is shaky and makes wrinkles, bubbles. Makes a very cheap expression, typical "Made in China"
Handling:
Set score 1-2 / Right on the eyes and easy: Olympus 10 x 50 DPS-I
Bresser 11x56: Note 1-2 / If the rubber very comfortable to hold, easy adjustment
Celestron Skymaster 15x70: Note 3+ / OK, but unfortunately I have not managed to once set a really sharp image
Result Experiment 1:
Olympus 10 x 50 DPS-I: Note 1-2 / The town sign I get to see clearly, although the other lenses provide better "Zoom"
Bresser 11x56: Note 2 / The town sign is not quite as sharp as the Olympus, but you can read it
Celestron Skymaster 15x70: Note 3 / Unfortunately, I can not do it here adjust the image so that you can really read it well. I do not matter to 11x56 in the magnification. So what bring me this 15x70? Well do nothing.
Conclusion:
My winner is surprisingly the Olympus for me.
That's the binoculars with the best processing and handling.
Unfortunately disappoint me the 11er and 15er enlargement in Bresser and Celestron. So what brings me a pair of binoculars, that does not work properly in the distance? Or why more weight and spend money?
Of the 15 times magnification, I hardly see a difference to the 11er. And the 10 of Olympus is to me personally by the optics, sympathetic and functional.
In addition, the Olympus is still the most economic model. If that's not a Best Buy!
Nevertheless, 4 stars for the Bresser, but I would not pay more money if you get the Olympus for less.
