The installation is quite simple and everything worked right away without problems, although the Speedport 701 not support WPS (thus no Foolproof coupling possible)!
Put repeaters on the 1st floor almost directly above the router into an electrical outlet
-short wait until Power + Wifi shine consistently, my Macbook has the "FRITZ! WLAN Repeater 310" detected in WiFi network -> Connect
-In browser http://192.168.178.2/ enter = Repeaterrmenü, there then enter password and select the repeater to be amplified WiFi network, now the type of encryption is required (mostly standard WPA / WPA2) and only the ordinary WLAN router password Enter and connect click, wait
-after a brief moment the repeater was connected to the router, all inconspicuous (no message on Macbook etc.) happened and the Wifi network has also done nothing further, so there appeared quite normal my previous wifi network / name and no "Fritz But! WLAN Repeater 310 "more ... so connected and lo and behold the WLAN reception is much better, so has worked!
On 2nd floor I had no repeaters only 40-max. . 50% signal quality (PS4) and v with my tablet even only 1 4 receive beams, now with Repeater I have 90-98% signal quality and full with Tablet reception -> So the good repeater has the wifi signal doubled in the household, even in the garden I've now all a very good wifi signal!
Has fully paid off and the beautiful has also worked with the old router, I can only recommend !!
