The media is physically very pleasant for drawing in pencil or pen. Warm background is friendly, but it certainly does not fit all. I am very reserved for use in watercolor: The very smooth surface sometimes wets poorly. However the ink is rapidly absorbed which prohibits dilution brush. I prefer it to the old Canson very thick ... For me, its best use is its association with fineliner and grease pencil. In addition, fine binding lets you use the double page for a wide drawing without being too bothered by the fold. No wonder this book is so often used by Urban Sketchers.
