I bought the blue 2m extension cable, no more having to crawl under the table. Unfortunately, the product does not fulfill its purpose. My Samsung S2 1TB drive is not recognized correctly. There is no drive letter in the Control Panel (Win 64). I close my plate on to the acquired even from me connecting cable (USB 3.0 Mirco Logilink 2m), then the disk is fine.
USB 2.0 drives work at the cable, but that does not help me. I can not recommend the cable, unfortunately.
