Player of all genres without any a priori, I had not yet read "The Night Fox" by Mary Higgins Clark. I only come to fill this gap and that was my surprise in discovering this masterpiece of detective genre. In his reading, it can only be agreed on the genius and talent of the author that are already unanimously. The flowing and pleasant style gives a lot of fluidity to the history and serves admirably the plot that unfolds over 24 hours and, as such, to be devoured by the reader. The characters, which grant the drama all its psychological dimension, are worked with great care and give this fiction a harrowing reality of perfume. Two races against shows intertwine: avoid the execution of the death penalty may be innocent Ronald Thompson, save the little journalist Neil and Sharon who have been abducted by a mysterious kidnapper. The two plots are linked, nebulous at first but which over the investigations will clear up and reveal the inextricable truth. The pace of events is accelerating gradually as we progress in the story, to become unsustainable at the end of the book. Captivating, thrilling, it is undoubtedly a Grand Polar; Greater police Literature Prize Mary Higgins Clark received in 1980 for this novel is not usurped. Even the chilly gender should appreciate. Friends Players, Enjoy!
