This CD documents a traditional concert version of "Jesus Christ Superstar", which is provided annually at Easter of the United Stages of Vienna on its feet. Andrew Lloyd Webber's and Tim Rice's brilliant rock opera that recounts exciting and contemporary, the last days of Jesus' life and this raises fundamental questions, here shines in new splendor. Although the orchestra not quite zo big, but the band comes up with a force that it is a real pleasure, and dares to even slightly with the arrangements to play around ("King Herod's Song" for example, comes up with an instrumental sequence which sounds a lot like Mardi Gras ^^). The song selection is advised with 21 titles very generous and rightly so because here a blast classified under the other. The best part is probably the Cast: Claudia Stangl seems a bit too old for the role, but gives a very warm and friendly Mary. The High Priest Rob Fowler and Dennis Kozeluh are also occupied perfect. Fowler is the way even to hear in a dual role as Simon Zealotes whose song - one of the unrecognized Highlights of this work - is done here all the glory. Andre Bauer gives Pilate the necessary dignity and inner conflict. The "Trial before Pilate" by the way comes up with a small, interesting change. It is essential to mention Jacqueline Brown. Occupy Herod with a woman may seem strange, but Miss Brown performs his song better than I ever someone had previously heard him performing. You have to hear! Serkan Kaya is top filled in the role of Judas, where he can really let off steam, and puts a lot of feeling in his rocking timbre. Actually, I would have rather heard Drew Sarich as Judas - but the already sings yes to Jesus. And that's really no reason to complain, quite the contrary. This man is simply impossible to describe in words. If only on this sound carrier and contain only the song "Gethsemane", sung by Sarich, he would still be money well worth ... It only remains to say that this CD should be in really every collection - it makes you nothing wrong.
